I’m in remission from stage 2 Hodgkin's lymphoma, and let me tell you—nothing stops me from doing what I love! During chemo, I never once cancelled or dropped a wedding, often working 12-hour days, traveling to and from Seattle to Spokane just two days after a treatment. Life didn’t slow down, and neither did I! I have four black cats (my "little voids of darkness," as I call them) and four bunnies, because, why not I love animals! I’m also the proud Mom of a super sassy little boy who totally stole my face—and my attitude. My husband is my absolute rock and is usually by my side as my wedding day assistant, making sure everything goes smoothly while I bring the magic. Life may throw curve balls, but I always keep swinging.
Creativity has always been at my core, but it wasn’t until I was planning my own elopement that I realized wedding planning was my true calling. I loved designing every detail to tell the story of my husband and me, and soon, I was learning everything I could about business and wedding coordination. In March 2021, after my elopement photographers praised my work, I decided to take the leap. By June, I had booked my first client, and after a successful wedding just two weeks later, I knew this was more than a side hustle—it was my career. In 2022, I went full-time, and while I faced burnout like any business owner, my "why" became even clearer in 2023. After welcoming my first child and being diagnosed with cancer, my focus shifted to working with clients I truly connected with. Despite everything, I didn’t cancel a single wedding. My clients supported me, and together, we created some of the most memorable events of my career. That’s when I truly understood—this business is about more than planning and florals; it’s about creating lasting, emotional connections.

Originally from SW Missouri, I'm thankful to call the great PNW my home! By day, I'm a Project Management for a construction company in the Seattle area. In my off hours, I enjoy exploring with my dog and husband. I'm working towards growing a flower cutting garden and a small vegetable garden — my phone is filled with all the beautiful plants my neighbors have growing in their front yards as inspo!
After celebrating my own wedding in July, I'm excited to be part of the A+D Team! It was thrilling to see our vision for our wedding day come to life, and I love being the go-to person to bring this same thrill to our couples on their wedding day!
When the newlyweds are the first to walk back down the aisle, together! I remember I jumped up and down with glee, exclaiming, "We're married!" to my husband and he smiled back at me with what felt like his whole body. That moment made all the months of planning worth it. Seeing others experience that joyous moment on their big day brings all those feelings back and makes me grateful for the role I play in bringing this moment to life as a wedding planner.

This is my first season with Aisle + Daisy, and I’m so excited to help you bring your wedding day vision to life! Originally from Hawai‘i, I bring over a decade of experience in the wedding industry—and I’m your go-to bestie for all things bold and colorful.
My goal as your planner is to make every step of the planning process feel effortless and intentional. I know what it takes to craft unforgettable destination experiences, and whether you’re local or celebrating from afar, we treat every couple like family—caring, curating, and creating with love and attention to detail.
My favorite part of the wedding day is always the first looks! Whether it’s the emotional moment between a parent and their child or the intimate reveal between the bride and groom, there’s something incredibly powerful about seeing those genuine, unscripted reactions. It’s a rare moment where nerves, excitement, and pure love all collide—and you can truly feel the emotion in the room. Those few seconds often end up being some of the most memorable and heartfelt parts of the entire day.

“Kayla made our wedding planning process stress-free and exciting! She helped us to stay on budget, helped bring our wedding vision to life, and found us the most amazing group of vendors! On wedding day, Kayla and her assistant took careful and swift measures to make sure everything was set up, vendors were assisted, and provided a warm and welcoming face for all our guests to be greeted by. “She is extremely organized, attentive to detail, and goes the extra mile for every couple she works with. Each wedding I’ve worked with her has gone so smoothly and has been very stress-free for both the couple and myself. She is also easy to work with during the pre-wedding process, as she always makes sure that the timeline fits to my needs as the photographer as well. She always puts the couple first above everything, so they can have the best wedding experience possible. If you are looking for someone to fill this important coordination role for your big day, Kayla is the best of the best.”
